MATERIALS LIST: Required Materials: -- in order
First Week -- absolute minimum - sketchbook and charcoal pencils
1 Portfolio, large -- can be improvised with a zippered plastic art envelope-- optional
[ using the zippered envelope, you can cut down a slightly over-sized gator board to fit]
1 Roll of Masking tape 3/4"
1 Drawing Paper Pad 18" x 24" (if necessary -- Layout paper pad - smooth)
1 Drawing Board 19"x 25" or larger (can be improvised using 1/2" Gator board[$1 to $50])
1 Package 2 to 4 assorted hardness or medium, Vine charcoal
1 Package 6 (approximately) of Compressed Charcoal sticks
1 Gum Eraser -- large
1 chamoise cloth [or ultra suede (6" square approximately)
1 (or more) rolled paper stomp or tortillion
1 White Castell Eraser, Magic or Mars Statler
1 Kneaded Eraser
1 optional - spray can of workable fixative, (outdoor use only)
1 Large sketchbook 11" x 14" recommended

Second Week --
1+ Graphite Sticks, soft or medium
1 Chamoise skin, small (can be improvised with ultra suede) 4" square or larger
3 Design Ebony Pencils
1 Metal Erasing Shield

Third Week --
2+ White Conté pencils
6 assorted Conté pencils black, sanguine, brown, gray, & dark red
1 box of assorted brown and red Conté Crayons (4 crayons minimum)
5 sheets 18" x 24" , neutral tone tinted paper
Total Estimated Materials expense: minimum $40, maximum $190, average $75 totals
Recommended Materials: 3+ Graphite Pencils 6B to HB (6B,4B,2B,HB)
